Kanga Kimono - Handmade Zanzibar Cotton

Each Nakupenda kimono is handmade in Zanzibar using one single traditional kanga — a wax-printed cotton cloth historically worn, gifted, and cherished across the Swahili Coast.

Because each kimono is made from just one kanga, no two garments are ever the same. Colours, motifs and placement vary naturally, making every piece limited edition — and in some cases truly one of a kind.

These kimonos are light, breathable and easy to wear, designed for layering at the beach, relaxed travel days, or slow evenings at home.
